ALL of the money earned from ticket sales will go directly to Buddhas Are Us, so they can directly distribute funds to the children they sponsor. Our primary concern is to secure the food costs associated with their schooling, so that the children being sponsored will be able to continue their education. If the child’s family cannot afford to pay for food, they are in danger of being financially forced out of their education. Considering Cambodia is infamous for child prostitution, education proves to be an invaluable opportunity to change family’s lives and their community.
Secondly we are aiming to raise funds to go towards schools supplies and teaching tools to help enhance the learning and teaching environment. Last, we hope to raise enough money to buy cooking stoves, being built in Siem Reap, to the children’s communities.
“More than 90 percent of total household energy used in rural Cambodia comes from wood and charcoal, which will continue to be the primary energy source for many more years, especially for poorer people. Faced with this reality, it is clear that simple and affordable solutions to the problems associated with burning wood and charcoal should be addressed. One obvious solution is the production and wide dissemination of more efficient stoves, which can cut fuel consumption in half.”- The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development / The World Bank
We really hope to see you at this event and we want to ensure you that our our Awesome Team has been working very hard to ensure you a night to remember.
